Splunk - filter all that IT Data

sorry for not many update, rather busy with my new role as team leader. Not enough time to nerd up any more.
We are implementing Solarwinds at work, while on their Thwack site. There was a link to Splunk.
Although I can’t find a clear pricing idea, the idea of the product is pretty cool.

Thinking of using it on all the Citrix servers, Web interface, ZDC and AGEE (assuming we can reduce the syslog alerts to the important ones).
As we are giving up on MOM to be the reporting dude I am looking for a product that will allow me to roll up the information and give me searching\reporting.
